Montasio D.O.P. is a creamy, unpasteurised cow’s milk cheese originating from the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto provinces of Italy. It was originally a monastery cheese but today it is produced only in a specific region of Italy following age-old traditional methods. This D.O.P. cheese is aged about 4-6 months and has inedible rind. It is pale yellow in colour with mellow flavour. The cheese goes well with Sauvignon Blanc.
